Shye is a Singaporean independent artist known for her dreamy blend of indie pop and alt-rock. Entirely self-taught, she writes, records, produces, mixes and masters all her music, crafting an unmistakably DIY sound that’s both intimate and expansive. 

What started as a quiet passion turned into something bigger when she won the Vans Musicians Wanted competition at 16. Since then, she has released a full-length album, several EPs and a steady stream of genre-blurring singles that have found their way into hearts across Asia.   In 2021, her voice reached a wider audience as one of the featured artists on 'The Road Ahead', Singapore’s 2021 National Day theme song.   

Shye has had the opportunity to open for acts like  Daniel Caesar , Clairo and Men I Trust and her presence has extended far beyond Singapore: from gracing a Times Square billboard for Spotify’s EQUAL campaign to being named Best New Act from Asia at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards. Shye has also been featured on Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 (2023), Tatler Gen.T 2024 and Dazed Global 100 & Dazed Asia.  

In 2025, Shye continues her momentum with new singles leading up to an anticipated mini-album. She also played her first headline show in Bangkok, attended her first Paris Fashion Week with Chanel and is set to perform at a music festival in Indonesia this September as well as World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.

Shye is guided by an honest love for music and storytelling, inviting listeners into her world. One self-made track at a time.
