Shye is a 21-year-old independent producer and singer-songwriter from Singapore who writes, records, produces, mixes and masters all from home.    

Shye began with her debut EP “Augustine” (2018), followed by her 14-track debut album “days to morning glory” (2020). In 2021 she released her second EP “hello TRINITY” followed by “idk it’s complicated” (2022). Shye’s notable achievements include her feature on a billboard for Spotify's EQUAL Campaign in Times Square, NYC. She was named 'Best New Act from Asia' at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards and received the 2022 KKBox 'Rising Star Award'.  Shye self-funded her sold-out show, "hello morning glory, it's complicated" in October 2021 and most recently, emerged as a finalist in the China music reality show《青年派计划》broadcasted on Mango TV.   

Shye has played at music festivals such as Baybeats, SG (2019 and 2023), Urbanscapes, MY (2019), Asia Rolling Music Festival, TW (2021) and Tiger Den @ SXSW, US (2023). She has opened for international acts such as Clairo, US (2019), Superoganism, UK (2019), SALES, US (2019), Men I Trust, CA (2023), Daniel Caesar, US (2023) and The Chairs, TW (2023).  

 Shye's anticipated 4th EP '9LIVES' draws inspiration from her previous works, while also venturing into a new soundscape. Inspired by 2000s pop-punk as well as British rock bands of the 80s, this EP showcases a genre Shye has always wanted to explore. Driven by distorted fuzzy guitars and chorus-drowned synths, ‘9LIVES’ is one to check out. Listen now.
