Shye is an independent singer-songwriter and music producer from Singapore. She oversees the creative process of writing, recording and production from home and is also the mixing and mastering engineer responsible for all her music. 

Shye's music is a mixture of dreamy indie and electronic-pop as well as elements of alternative rock.  She began her music journey at the age of 16 when she entered a music competition for fun and emerged unexpectedly as the winner, with music from her debut EP 'Augus7ine' in 2018. She then followed up with her 14-track debut album 'days to morning glory' in 2020. In the following year, Shye released her second EP 'hello TRINITY' followed by 'idk it’s complicated' in 2022. Her next body of work, ‘9LIVES’ followed suit in October 2023.  

Shye has had the honour of opening for international acts like Daniel Caesar, Clairo, Men I Trust, The Chairs and more at their shows in Singapore. Her notable achievements include being featured on a billboard for Spotify's EQUAL Campaign at Times Square in NYC, being named 'Best New Act from Asia' at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards, receiving the 2022 KKBox 'Rising Star Award’ and making it on the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 2023 list and the Tatler Gen. T Leaders of Tomorrow 2024 list. She was also included in the DAZED 100 Global And Asia lists of 2024.

Shye is most happy making music and performing it in front of a live audience. Sharing her music with the world, she is always learning and evolving. ‘The Sun Will Cry’ is Shye’s last single of the year, pre-save now.
